Artist/ Vendor Contract
What We Sell:
Artists/ Vendors can come to us with handmade things like jewelry. Arts and Crafts. Music CD’s. Candles. Car accessories. Computer accessories. Clothes. Honey. Bottled/ Canned drinks. Photography. Etc. Artists/ Vendors can also come to us with things like antiques. Acquired products that the artist/ vendor previously bought and want to resell. Etc.
Product Exceptions:
Weapons cannot be sold. Perishable items cannot be accepted at this time due to overnight shipping costs. Pornography in products is banned. Pornography can be hinted at but under no circumstances is it to be shown or written about. Failure to comply with the pornography exception will result in Yogis Basket LLC terminating the partnership immediately.
What We Provide:
Yogis Basket LLC provides the advertising, storage, and shipping so you don’t have to stress about any of it.
Should any fixable damage happen to an artist/ vendor’s product, Yogis Basket LLC will immediately attempt to contact the artist/ vendor to discuss the situation.
Should any permanent damage happen to an artist/vendor’s product while in the care of Yogis Basket LLC, the company will immediately attempt to contact the artist/ vendor and pay the artist/ vendor for the damage sustained to their product.
Artist/ Vendor Consent:
Yogis Basket LLC does highly encourage that the artist/ vendor provide the company with a picture of themselves and a bio about what the artist/ vendor wants the people who visit yogisbasket.com to know about themselves/ and/ or background of why/how the product that the artist/ vendor is selling came to be. Providing a photo and bio is not a requirement. However, Yogis Basket LLC wants to provide people with a sense of community and warmth; providing a picture and a bio would create the environment the company seeks to achieve.
We will also be Spotlighting each of our artists/ vendors in our “Spotlight” page. This gets all of our “Spotlighted” artists/ vendors a little more advertising. Yogis Basket LLC will cycle through all of our artists/ vendors monthly in our “Spotlight” page. Again, providing a photo and a bio is not a requirement; however, if a photo and bio of an artist/ vendor is not provided, the artist/ vendor loses out on the chance for an advertising boost.
Artists/ Vendors and wholesale artists/ vendors grant Yogis Basket LLC permission to use submitted product photos, descriptions, and promotional materials for marketing and sales purposes. Should an artist/ vendor provide Yogis Basket LLC with an email address for “custom orders” for customers to order through, Yogis Basket LLC is not responsible for customers coming to the artist/ vendor and complaining about allergic reactions to products that are sold.
Yogis Basket LLC does its best to protect the artists/ vendors that partner with the company; However, Yogis Basket LLC cannot guarantee that customers won’t complain to the artist/ vendor anyway.
Artist/ Vendor Obligation:
The only obligation is to have fun and get paid. Yogis Basket LLC realizes that life happens and minds change. If one of our artist’s/ vendor’s wants to take a break or stop making things while partnering with Yogis Basket LLC, the artist/ vendor has every right to do so, Yogis Basket LLC simply asks the artist/ vendor let the company know.
Product Liability Protection:
Artist/ Vendor represents that all products comply with applicable laws, regulations, labeling requirements, and safety standards.
Payment:
Step 1: The artist/vendor consents to loaning Yogis Basket LLC some of the products that the artist/ vendor wants to sell. Artist/ Vendor will still retain ownership of said products. Should the partnership with the artist/ vendor end, the unsold inventory will be returned at the expense of the artist/ vendor. Wholesale products will not be returned to the artist/ vendor.
Artists/ Vendors that just deal in wholesale products are not required to consent to loaning Yogis Basket LLC their products as Yogis Basket LLC has already purchased the products.
Step 2: Yogis Basket LLC will put the artist/ vendor’s products up on the website with the artist/ vendor’s asking price.
Sale prices are on wholesale products only. If an artist/ vendor wants their product listings to have a sale price, Yogis Basket LLC will put the artist/ vendor’s asking sale price on said products.
Step 3: Upon forming a partnership with an artist/ vendor, Yogis Basket LLC asks that the artist/ vendor make a Venmo account and provide the company with the name on the Venmo account. With the growing restrictions of Venmo, the payment method may vary.
With Venmo’s current regulations, we will pay the artist/ vendor what they are owed through installments not exceeding $600 at one time. Example: Artist/ Vendor is owed $1,200. Yogis Basket LLC will pay in installments of $500, $500, and $200 on the same day. Thereby, reaching the owed amount but not exceeding $600 installments.
Yogis Basket LLC will pay the artist/ vendor 60% of the asking price for each of their products that are sold. Payment to the artist/ vendor will be paid once the 3-4 day processing time, 5-7 day delivering time, and the 7 day return window has expired, excluding sales tax and refunds; Yogis Basket LLC will keep 40%. In summary, our artist/ vendor will be paid within 15-18 days.
If Yogis Basket LLC purchases a non wholesale artist/ vendor’s product for themselves, said artist/ vendor will get the full asking price paid to them due to no shipping costs.
Wholesale products are not eligible for this offer as the products are purchased by Yogis Basket LLC. To protect the stability of our wholesale artists/ vendors, Yogis Basket LLC will retain the wholesale artist/ vendor’s asking price on their products; However, Yogis Basket LLC reserves the right to put a sale price on said products.
Wrap up:
This contract will be updated periodically to reflect the current health of Yogis Basket LLC. All of our artists/ vendors will be made aware of the updates and be required to sign the contract again to ensure the continuation of their partnership with Yogis Basket LLC.
To protect all involved parties, a paper copy of this contract must be held in safe keeping by both the signing artist/ vendor and by Yogis Basket LLC at all times. Wholesale artists/vendors do not need to keep a paper copy or sign this contract as our business is done when Yogis Basket LLC purchases the artists/ vendors products. No exceptions.
