Apolla and Artemis are sulcata tortoises that came to us in 2023 as tiny babies. Apolla was 4 years old and Artemis was 3 years old. Our little girls are growing by the month.

They got their names because Christian is really into Greek mythology. When we found out that our little hams were both female, we didn’t have the heart to change their names and; therefore, have them learn new names. Thus, Apollo became Apolla.

Apolla enjoys warmer weather and being cozy in their greenhouse and doesn’t really enjoy splashing around in water, that we know of.

Artemis enjoys the cooler weather and splashing around in the splash pad.

They’re hobbies are made up of treating us like a jungle gym, eating blended hay and water, eating grass, foraging for food even when they have food in their greenhouse, pooping in their doghouse, trying to eat shoes AND TOES, but their most favorite pass time is digging.
